This month, the ASYV Alumni Association elected a new leadership committee!
The Association assists the Village by connecting us to our alumni so that we can better measure our impact. Moving forward, the Association hopes to fundraise and continue their own Tikkun Olam projects in and outside the Village to give back to ASYV and the greater Rwandan community.
The candidates for the leadership committee were made up of representatives of four different ASYV grades.
From the election, six representatives and five advisers were chosen to serve on the new committee. They will serve for a minimum of one year. Candidates were chosen from the already existing grade committees on a voluntary basis of self-recommendation.
And the new committee is:
Chair: Eric Kabiyona
Responsible for running meetings and overseeing all projects of the Association
Vice-Chair: Solange Niyosenga
Responsible for assisting the Chair and overseeing projects in the absence of the Chair.
Responsible for formal communication with the Village and other alumni.
Secretary: Alice Tumukunde
Responsible for organizing meetings and overseeing the administrative work of the Association.
Treasurer: Emmanual Kwizera
Responsible for collecting funds and managing the budget.
Social Officer, Philosophy and Tikkun Olam Culture : Noah Tuyishime
Responsible for keeping ASYV alumni connecting informally and socially
Responsible for ensuring the spirit and philosophy of ASYV is promoted among alumni and through everything the Association does.
Development Officer: Quinzaire Manzi
Advisers: Kamuzinzi Egide Nizeyimana & Chairpersons from each grade
Congratulations to the ASYV Alumni Association Committee!
