The Village Celebrates International Women's Day
"Women’s Day celebrates women’s achievements and empowers women to feel stronger and do more great things to make the world a better place. I enjoyed seeing how our brothers, uncles, and fathers at ASYV were supporting us and joined us to celebrate." - Nyllah Esther Asiimwe Tetero, first-year student
On Monday, March 8th, the Village marked International Women's Day with a march, speeches, and a special pre-recorded Village Time that included modeling, dance, and poetry. Students were also treated to a cake after marching from the Liquidnet Family High School to the Edmond J. Safra Community Center.
