2020 Supporter Spotlight

Weinstein Foundation, Inc. a supporting foundation of the Atlanta Jewish Foundation of Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta

Tikkun Olam has taken on new meaning thanks to a generous grant from the Weinstein Foundation. With this gift, ASYV has established a special community service endowment. This endowment will fund an annual student-led service project to benefit ASYV, their home communities, or the local community.

All students will be invited to participate in the allocation of this endowment. Working in groups or student families, with support from staff members and trainers, students will build Tikkun Olam project proposals. These proposals will be reviewed and shortlisted by the ASYV Student Government, with the Weinstein Foundation providing Student Government members with mentorship throughout the decision-making process. Student Government will then select the top community service proposal for funding. 

ASYV is grateful to the Weinstein family, and especially the four Weinstein cousins who championed the funding of this project, for empowering our students to repair the world one project at a time, and for providing immeasurable support to the Village since we opened our doors in 2008.
