Visit asyv.org/donate. Ensure 100% of your gift goes to the Village by giving by check or wire - or by including the fee when making your online gift.

+ Give Marketable Securities

Maximize your impact by making a gift of appreciated securities— like stocks, bonds, ETFs, and mutual funds—and avoid capital gains taxes.

2. Once you’ve made your stock transfer, please let us know, so we can provide you with a tax acknowledgement letter.

Email abide@asyv.org with the name and number of the stock you’re transferring, plus the approximate value.

+ Donate by Donor Advised Fund

If you have a DAF, you can make a membership or annual fund grant to the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village. You can also include ASYV as a partial or full beneficiary of your DAF. ASYV's EIN # is 27-3530769.

Please ask your DAF representative to include your name and address so we can acknowledge your generosity.

Please note that IRS regulation IRC 4967 currently prohibits the use of a Donor Advised Fund grant to pay for all or any portion (whether tax deductible or not) of the admission price to attend an event.

+ Planned Giving

We would be honored to discuss legacy giving options with you. By leaving a gift to the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village in your will or trust, you are enabling education, resilience, and healing for hundreds of kids who call ASYV home.

+ Give Through Your IRA

If you are 70 ½ or older, you can support ASYV through your Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), up to $108,000 per person in 2025. And if you’re 73 or older, you can use your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to support our ongoing work. To arrange a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) or RMD from your IRA, follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Contact the financial institution where your IRA is held and instruct them to send all or a portion of your Required Minimum Distribution to ASYV, federal tax #: 27-3530769.

2. Ask that they send the check directly to ASYV: 234 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY, 10001, federal tax ID # 27-3530769. It only counts as a QCD or RMD if the check goes from the financial institution directly to a charity.

3. Let us know, so we can properly acknowledge your gift. Email abide@asyv.org or mail a form or letter to Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village, 234 5th Avenue, 5th Floor, Suite 508, New York, NY 10001.

You can also include ASYV in your estate plan by making us a partial or full beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement asset.

+ Leverage Your Company Matching Program

Does your company provide matching gift funds? Contact your HR to see if we qualify; you may be able to double or even triple your impact on ASYV. Requests related to matches can be directed to Abide Legzim at abide@asyv.org or 631-657-8646.

+ Donate Crypto Currency

If you hold crypto currency, you can transfer it to the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village and receive a tax deduction for the currency’s fair market value.

+ Sponsor an Event (Individual or Company)

Call 631-657-8646 to make a donation via credit card by phone. 

+ Donate in Honor or Memory

You can designate a gift in honor or in memory of an individual when you donate on asyv.org/donate. When prompted, please designate who the tribute is for and include the email and/or mailing address of the recipient that you wish to receive notification of this gift. ASYV will mail tribute cards when requested and email notifications will be shared automatically.
